3 Canadian High School Students Win E4TW Awards |
In 2008, Engineering Science at the University of Toronto (EngSci) established the Engineers for the World (E4TW) Award for high school students completing Grade 11. EngSci’s vision is to be a premier innovator in engineering education and to graduate students with the knowledge, skills, vision, and judgment to be leaders among global citizens and among their generation of engineers. Hence, this award was established at a small number of top Canadian high schools to recognize and encourage students with both strong academic records, in particular in math and science, as well as strong track records of citizenship at their school or within the broader community.
In 2009, E4TW awards were made to three outstanding Grade 11 students; Kathy Pan at University Hill Secondary School in Vancouver, Shari Li at Lisgar Collegiate Institute in Ottawa and Gorick Ng at Marc Garneau Collegiate Institute in Toronto.
EngSci wishes to congratulate these 3 students and wishes them the very best in their final year of high school. |
